Is my child old enough to take the class?
The Lego Robotics classes are designed for students in grades 2-8. To be successful in the class, your child should be able to build a medium to difficult Lego by following the instructions and with no assistance.
The Arduino and JavaScript classes are designed for students in grades 6-12. It is open to all levels of experience; a real interest in learning engineering and computer programming is what really matters for success in the class.
Can I sign up for more than one class?
Yes, the curriculum is very flexible and the material for continuing students will not repeat.
How long is each session?
Summer: Each session is one week long, Monday to Friday from 9:00am - 2:00pm each day.
Lego Robotics After School: Each session is 12 weeks long and they meet once per week for 2 hours per meeting, from 4-6pm. There is an option to take either the first or last 6 sessions only.
Arduino and JavaScript: Each session is 12 weeks long and meets once per week for 90 minutes each session, from 7-8:30pm.
Is extended care available?
Summer Only: There is an option to attend the Mathnasium programming from 2-4pm after the BK Bots class. Contact info@bkbots.com for more information.
